We are looking for individuals who believe in our mission and would like to participate in our program and join us in promoting peace in the lives of these inner-city children, as well as the community at large. Become a volunteer for Peace4Kids and bring the knowledge and compassion of your own life experience into the hearts of children who will truly benefit. Volunteers are the hallmark of Peace4Kids. We need the commitment of nuturing adults to guarantee the success of our children. Peace4kids is unique in that we not only pair young people with caring nurturing adults, we ensure a flourishing relationship by giving it the right guidance and environment to grow. Our volunteers get the opportunity to spend time with the children each Saturday from 9am-1pm in a community that focuses on creativity, the arts, and education. With the guidance of our trained staff, volunteers are given the tools and know how to work one on one with our youth and develop strong bonds that leave a lasting impression on everyone involved.
If you cannot commit to working with the kids on Saturday, there is also a need behind the scenes to help us with coordinating events and serving on the committees that help to sustain the program. There is never a shortage of things to do to forward the efforts of the Peace4Kids mission.
