	Go to www.projecthomebound.com to register. Peace4Kids 4K WALK/RUN “Foster youth need family and community, that’s what Peace4Kids is for me. I am fulfilling my dream of becoming a film director because Peace4Kids, my family, believes in me.” Those heart-felt words were spoken by George White, a seventeen-year-old foster youth, before the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute. United States Senator, Mary Landrieu (D-LA) and committee heard George, and fellow teen activists Deisy Rolon and Michelle Marshall, testify on the needs for foster teens being aged out of the system. With no family to turn to for support, each year, over 25% of “adult” foster youth find themselves homeless after their eighteenth birthday. Luckily, for George, Deisy, and Michelle, this will not be the case, because they DO have family. PEACE4KIDS is their family. P4K is a non-profit, weekly program that actively supports foster and at risk youth in the Compton, Watts, and Long Beach areas. Serving over 200 children a year, ranging from ages five to eighteen and beyond, P4K offers community, support, love, hope and FAMILY to children whom otherwise have none. George White and his P4K family have another dream. To help lawmakers, local community, business owners, media and friends “visualize” this ever-growing housing need, George is documenting his 1,149 mile bike ride in representation and protest of the number of foster youth expected to be homeless from last year alone. On Saturday, March 27th, 2010, he will cross his finish line at the Long Beach Nautilus Show to launch the first PEACE4KIDS 4K WALK/RUN! YOUR CORPORATE OR INDIVIDUAL SPONSORSHIP WILL CHANGE LIVES!!!
