Mickey is currently a volunteer law clerk and advocate with Public Counsel Law Center and Learning Rights Law Center, has worked for over 15 years in child welfare. She was a foster parent and youth counselor. She has experience as a program assistant monitoring grants for a foundation and as a special education advocate for disabled students in Los Angeles. Mickey is an alumna of foster care who spent 9 years in and out of foster care and 5 years in a group home. She has dedicated her life to the "voice" of those in and from foster care.
