Dr. Leslie Ponciano is a faculty member and Program Director for the Early Childhood Education MA Program at Loyola Marymount University. Prior to becoming a professor, Leslie was a social worker for foster children in Los Angeles County, a behavioral specialist for adolescents at a psychiatric facility in Orange County, and a counselor for adolescents at a juvenile detention center in Australia. She has three amazing children and was a foster parent. Leslie has been involved with Peace4Kids since 2001. She has contributed to the development and evaluation of several programs and is training a group of foster youth to design and conduct a research study.
