Family dinners are like magical portals to a world brimming with laughter, music, and boundless joy. They serve as the heartwarming intermission in the grand theater of our lives, where we pause to strengthen our bonds with those we hold dear, all while satiating our hearts and our bellies.

Understanding that youth in foster care may not always have the privilege of experiencing these cherished traditions, our beloved Deirdre Lopilato, affectionately known as "Mama D," began hosting monthly family dinners in 2016 in the warm embrace of her home. 

There, amid the clinking of utensils and the aroma of delicious food, our teens discover that the most profound nourishment doesn't come from what's on our plates, but from the people we share a dinner table with. It's an experience brimming with joy, music, and love that words alone can't truly capture.
