Peace4Kids is a grassroots, non-profit organization supporting youth in foster care. For decades, our "Community as Family" has provided consistency, stability, and trust to people of all ages.
In our years of connecting with youth in foster care, we've discovered that they develop strength based traits like adaptability, independence and empathy as a result of their experiences. We cultivate these attributes using the framework of our 4 Core Concepts.
Our commitment to each individual's well-being is reflected in our choice-based and youth-centric programs. Promoting active participation, we encourage youth to make choices and instill the understanding that, regardless of life's challenges, decisions can be rooted in personal responsibility for themselves and others.
We encourage the health and well-being of the individual by ensuring that they are a valued part of the whole.
We also challenge conventional perceptions surrounding youth in foster care, recognizing inherent potential for growth and possibilities. By actively reshaping these narratives, we aim to revolutionize how society treats children and youth in foster care. This paradigm shift contributes to the cultivation of safer, more stable relationships and communities.
Our mission is to create safe spaces where youth in foster care can explore their strengths, build lasting relationships, and cultivate heightened confidence and self-esteem, ultimately celebrating the inherent worth and potential of every young person.
