Transitional Youth Services

A youth-centric, 'community mentoring' program supporting young people as they transition into adulthood.

Rather than a traditional mentor-mentee match, we have a group of people ready to support. With "just in time" mentoring, we make the right connections at the right time to meet the needs of youth. One or more volunteers could contribute simultaneously, collaboratively or successively.

Mental and physical health services, job and career support, transitional housing and self-sufficiency counseling are essential for young people in transition. While these services exist for youth, they're not always sure how to access them. Our trained staff and volunteers help youth deal with these challenges, and connect them to lifelines through:

  • Specialized 1:1, peer, and community mentoring to support mental health and wellness, tackle the tough hurdles and celebrate milestones.

  • Life skills development and job readiness preparation to level-up adulting for transition aged youth.

  • Leadership programs to empower young adults to advocate for themselves, lead large-scale projects, and inspire meaningful change.

  • Assessment, maintenance and care coordination includes system navigation guidance, referrals to services (such as tutoring, treatment, and wraparound care), crisis support, and Family Urgent Response System (FURS).

To participate in our Youth Transitional Services, youth must be enrolled in our Core Saturday Program.
